Missing Set lists:
Sorry I’ve been rather busy as of late and I’m afraid I’ve got a spot of catching up to do, so here’s our set lists from the last few weeks:
Set List Sept 14″
We Shine
Salvation’s Chorus
How He Loves
Performance song opener: Not My time by 3 doors down
We had an interesting day this day, due to a medical emergency we had to switch worship leaders last minute (like the night before) and the team did an awesome job dealing any problems that might have cropped up as a result.

Set list: Sept 21
Point of Difference
Everlasting God
Let me Sing

Set list: Sept 28
We Cry Out
Sing to the King
Famous One

This was the week or our Elevation trip, so I sad-to-say missed the service, however I did get to attend the practice so I know it had to be amazing!

I know what you’re thinking, you’re thinking Matt it looks like you did a song set from the Louder than Creation CD fro Northpoint… well we did. Why? Two words, multi tracks…. ok perhaps a bit more explanation is required here. We had a scheduling conflict with the drummer who was going o play that day, (and I was out of state for a conference), so I started looking for another drummer to fill in for us, seven people later I had five no’s and two no-call backs, so we re-planned the worship to one that we had multi-tracks for (blog post on those to follow at later point), I was praying that God would provide a drummer, but I wasn’t going to just sit idle at the same time, perhaps it was a lack of faith on my part, I’m not sure.
Anyway to make a long story ever longer… (sorry I’m verbose I know!) He did provide and Glenn Williams? (memo to self, get the name from Jeremy) did an awesome job on the drums last week, Thanks Glenn! Rest of the Band: Jeremy(WL), Bill(B), Ronnie(EG), Elizabeth(P) and Mia(V).
Hello world!
Welcome to WordPress.com. This is your first post. Edit or delete it and start blogging!
Sunday, bloody Sunday…
Okay, it wasn’t that bad, actually I had a very pleasant Sunday. The only problem is that roughly halfway into our video (Synced to the song we were playing) the computer (A MAC) crashed. Thankfully we continued on (mostly ignorant in my case, except for my click track vanishing). Happily Josh has the video (set to the original song) on his blog, see it here.
Super awesome job by our teams yesterday, The production team got everything back up and running, and the band (Even the one who could see it freeze up and crash) didn’t miss a beat.
I found myself listening intently to Elizabeth (Super talented percussionist of earlier posts) and Dave (Super incredible keyboardist of note, and yes that was a bad pun) as well as Pick, but I always listen (and look for that matter) for cues from Pick. Our Bassist (Bill) and Guitarists (Brandon and Ronnie) didn’t skip a beat, if not for the video crashing behind us I don’t think anyone would have noticed anything wrong at all. Mad kudo’s folks.
I used a slightly lighter than normal setup, meaning less cymbals, I’m working on paring down a bit to make setup and tear down easier.

DHL gets Coal this year,
Right, I just finished a long ranting (it was at least two pages long) post about shipping companies and Christmas, but I’ll sum it up as such, DHL is getting coal this year, and next time place your orders 3 weeks in advanced, and next day shipping apparently isn’t, even when you have an entire week to get it.
I deleted the rant by the way, I just felt like venting.

It is indeed Black Friday
I do hope that everyone had a good Thanksgiving.
For those of you who are brave (or insane) enough to fight (in some cases literally) the crowd my hat’s off to you (I still think you’re nuts though). Before you protest about how good the deals are (And some of them are indeed that good) I’d much rather take a day to catch up on reading and projects then save an extra $300.00 on a new labtop, (really the only thing that was truly tempting. Not to mention (And I hate to tell you this if you just spent 5 hours in line since midnight) but a lot (though not all) of deals can be grabbed online.
Jumping back to the beginning of the paragraph I’d like to take a moment to thank any and every service men and women currently active and otherwise who are out there to busy fighting for their country to fight the lines at the mall. Thank you, know the regardless of the headlines on CNN or the political speeches, your country respects, cares about and thanks you.
Ok moving on from another subject other then shopping, I finally have a linux box running Ubuntu 7.10, but that will soon change to Ubuntu studio vers. 7.04 probably this weekend when I have enough time to tool around with it. Why the downgrade? because last I checked studio was still at 7.04 and it has lots of preinstalled goodies (Audio/video/graphics)
Speaking of weekend project my little cousin came home for the weekend, during which time she did a bit more work on the “Wall Mural” at the entrance, I’ll post a picture when I dig the camera out of storage.
Current Stats:
Listening to: Lifesong by Casting Crowns
Reading: The Ant and the Elephant
Watching: Nothing at the moment
